Incepted in the /r/MK community,
named after Max Planck in its second post,
designed through spreadsheets captured & journaled with the community, then models on github,
built as a quick prototype with electronics designed by Jack Humbert,
the first Planck lead to the Planck & Planck Light by OLKB, Planck EZ by ZSA, Plastic Planck, a 3D-printed version, a laser-cut version, etc.

Trademark reg. 5592164 for the word mark PLANCK, being in the supplemental register,
is not prima facie evidence that the registrant owns the mark and has the exclusive right to use the mark in commerce.
It is not distinctive of their goods, as a prior term of art in the relevant industry (contrary to their filings with the USPTO).
